Garage Sale Confirmation.

As I was sitting against the wall with my eyes closed, asking the Lord to guide my steps and praying that He would speak to me and meet me where I was. I began to see “Brazil” written out in gold.

Last summer I went to El Salvador for a two month internship and the Lord did a mighty work in my life during that summer. He challenged me to walk in quick obedience, He gave me a deeper understanding of his joy, showed me that He is in the small details, and I learned that I CAN actually hear the voice of God.

The night the Lord put Brazil on my heart, I was confused if I was hearing Him correctly. I was feeling so many emotions, a lot of confusion and a little bit of fear. I didn't know what it meant. I wasn't sure if He was calling me to do missions there long term or for just a short session. That week I told a friend what the Lord showed me and she told me that I can also do an internship in Brazil. My eyes lit up, deep down I knew that was something I wanted to do. So, I began to pray about it, I knew that if the Lord wanted me to go to Brazil for an internship He would confirm it to me.

Before I say anything else, can I just say God is SO faithful! He has confirmed Brazil to me in so many ways.

One amazing way the Lord confirmed it was on a lovely afternoon in august. I had just gotten back from El Salvador and I was praying so much about Brazil and asking God to speak to me about it. On this specific day, I was at my grandmas for a garage sale. I had brought a few things to sell and maybe make a little bit of money. I wasn’t expecting what the Lord had planned for that day.

At the end of the garage sale, two ladies showed up with smiles on their faces. They looked so friendly. One picked up a sign that said something about Jesus and smiled. I thought to myself, “ Oh, they must be Christian”. As they came closer to where we were sitting, I noticed the one had an accent, so I asked where she was from. The lady with her said that she was a missionary from Brazil! I was in shock, that was the last thing I was expecting her to say. As we began talking more, the Lord was just confirming so many things and answering so many prayers for the both of us. It was such a divine appointment set by the Lord.

From that specific encounter, I knew without hesitation, the Lord was telling me to go to Brazil.

I’m super excited to share that I have the amazing opportunity to go to Brazil this summer. While in Brazil, I will be working alongside American teams and the Brazilian Impact School of Ministry students. We will be evangelizing in neighborhoods, parks, churches, and schools in some of the hardest and most hopeless parts of Rio de Janeiro. I also have the amazing opportunity to work in the jungles of Manaus.

I ask that you keep me in your prayers and please prayerfully consider helping with a gift of any amount.
